Hello everyone!
I want to recommend to you a virtual tour into the Vatican Museums. Due to the covid restraints, last year I had the opportunity to visit, from my own home, the Vatican rooms! You can find this tour in the Vatican site. The visual quality is excellent, and permits you to seek and focus on any particular piece of art work
I love art, and I enjoyed very much to see the frescoes (painted walls) without the fuss and the crowds that exist in a regular tour. I especially recommend to visit the Sistine Chapel, and look at the famous ceiling frescoes made by Michelangelo, and don't miss the Raphael rooms, decored with frescoes made by Raphael and his workshop in the 1500's. My favourite work is "The school of Athens"in which you can see the great philosophers, walking (moving) from the philosophical ideas toward the "true religion". 👀Enjoy
Very nice content! Thanks for sharing. It could be also a very nice activity for children during holidays.

ReplyDeleteThank you Mariela
ReplyDeleteA very interesting recommendation
During the lockdown that has been going on for the past year and a half, visual tours have become a hot topic in schools (usually with the cooler teachers) and also in our private homes.
This is an excellent and fascinating tool for diversifying learning and arousing interest among our students :)
Thanks Mariala
ReplyDeleteI really like going to museums and art. I have never been on a virtual tour of a museum. I like to see things not through a screen. I also do not like to read books through the computer and prefer to hold the book in my hand. I will probably continue to physically go to museums but thank you so much for the recommendation.
such a great idea to be able to visit museums from our couches at home. it could be also used at school for art classes.
ReplyDeletethank for sharing this, it made me curious whther there are other museums that offer these kinds of tours
